If the great weather, fantastic sunsets, beautiful beaches, whale watching, fishing, scuba diving and friendly people aren't enough reasons to visit La Paz, here are some more! It's Carnaval 2009 - Viva la fiesta! (Feb. 19 - 24) and on the 22nd, the 15th Annual Todos Santos Historic House Tour.

Right now, hundreds of workers are setting up rides, booths and other attractions along nearly the entire length of the Malecon. Along with all of that, three major parades will take place on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 5:00 pm.

Carnaval is a great place to enjoy the special ambiance of La Paz in a family-friendly environment that has something for everyone. Great food, games, rides, shopping and just people watching makes this an event not to miss.

In nearby Todos Santos, the Historic House Tour takes visitors on a journey back in time to when there was no electricity and dinner was cooked on a wood stove. Check out the Hotel California and see where John F. Kennedy Jr. spent the night when he visited.

Some of the homes on the tour have been in the same families for hundreds of years and each has a unique and exciting story to tell about the culture and history of the area. Two additional homes have been added to the 2009 tour.
